Thomas Snubbed Comes To Light

Today, June 13, a story about the 1992 snub of Isiah Thomas, former player and hall of famer of the Detroit Pistons, from the famous 1992 Olympics winning "Dream Team" USA Mens Basketball Team.

Because of the Dream Team's 20 year anniversary, a documentary was made in their honor. A preview of this 90 minute documentary was shown during the NBA Finals to the media. Michael Jordan, a member of the championship team, revealed that there were stipulations on him joining the team: Isiah Thomas could not join.

But it ran deeper than Jordan not waiting Thomas to join. Stated by former NBA Deputy Commissioner Russ Granik, due to an incident following the '91 elimination of Thomas' Detroit Pistons team by Jordan's Chicago Bulls team. (Thomas and teammates left the floor without congratulating The Bulls.) With the league choosing the USA team shortly after the elimination most didn't have a mind about Thomas playing for the team simply because of chemistry.

I guess we will have to watch the documentary to see the rest of.
