Before the NBA Lockout was agreed to be done, there were other players putting in major work on the court. Example? Griffin Lentsch. This guy, a junior who plays for the high scoring Grinnell College in Iowa set a Division 3 record 89 points for the most points in a single game in their 145-97 win against Principia College. He ended the game shooting 27 of 55 from the field, 20 of 22 from the free throw line, and 15 of 33 from the three point line. This means that if he made more shots he couldn't easily better the NCAA record of 112. AMAZING WERE HARD WORK WILL GET YOU!!

Foul Language
By: Willie Waters III
At half time of their game against the New England Patriots, the New York Jets were headed into the locker room. As they were headed in, a New England fan yells to Coach Ryan, "Hey Rex, Belichick is better than you." In response to the fan's comment, Coach Ryan yells back, "Shut Up!!", while using an obscenity. Despite his day later apology, stating that the indigent was "a mistake", he was fined $75,000.
Although I do agree with the fact that he should have simply keep things professional, I think that his penalty is an outrage. He was fined $75,000 for cursing. Something that is done in every day life. Yes it was to a fan, and yes he shouldn't have said it but that is TOO much for cursing. Honestly if it was me I wouldn't have apologize for that if I had to pay that amount. I would've made it CLEAR that I meant EVERY word. But thats just me.

Lockout Is Over!!
By: Will Waters III
As of November 26th, after a 15 hour negotiation session, the lockout is officially over! The players, less enthused, agreed on a 10 year deal with the owners whereas the players receive 51 percent and the owners 49 percent. Each side has a chance 2 opt out of this contact after six years. Now the 149 day lockout is over and the season will consist of 66 games, compared to the regular 82 game season. The season will kick off with a Christmas delight on December 25 with Dallas vs Miami, Boston vs New York, Los Angles vs Chicago, Orlando vs Oklahoma City, and Golden State vs LA Clippers.
This is great. Even though both sides didn't receive what they wanted, the deal that they did revise, I believe, is a for the best. I sympathize with the players because they physically play the game and I believe they deserve more money, but its for the best because otherwise millions and millions of dollars would have been missed out on if a deal wasn't put in place. What I heavily believe that, even though 6 years its some players careers, after 6 years the owners will have made the money that they have been trying to get and the deal can be revised once again. Who knows what the future of the NBA holds. For one it holds an amazing line up for Christmas that is SURE to very interesting. Stay Tuned...

"PREDICTABLY UNPREDICTABLE"
By: Will Waters III
This 2011 NFL season has been FULL of surprises and this week has been NO different.
Philadelphia Eagles, who were picked to be the "Dream Team" of this season lost their game verses the blazing Buffalo Bills, 31-24. This takes the slumping Eagles to a 1-4 record and the absolutely blazing Bills to a 5-0 record. Michael Vick who was virtually unstoppable for his injuries against the Falcons and Giants, had the Bills defense all over him, throwing four ints. The Eagles season is going down hill at this point.
Next we have the Vikings. The Vikings haven't been having a great season themselves either. Going into a game against the Arizona Cardinals whom having not won a game since their opener against the Carolina, the Vikings
blowout the Cards, 34-10. It being the Vikings first win of the season, this game doesn't speak volumes since the Cards aren't that strong of a team this year themselves. Two previous playoffs predicted teams now at the bottom of the barrel.
This next one hurts me to say. Being from Atlanta, Ga its hard to talk about my team like this but The Atlanta Falcons, a team that did do well last year are 2-3 this season falling to the Green Bay Packers. The Falcons lost to the Packers last year 34-14 and did the almost the same being crashed 19-0 in the second half losing 25-14. A Falcons teams with so much promise needs to pick it up or their season will go down the drain.
Finally the San Fransisco 49ers blew out the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 48-3, to improve their season record to 4-1. The 49ers, whom ended last season 6-10 and with the firing of head coach Mike Singletary and other personnel, have come this season ready to play. And although they lost, the Buccaneers aren't doing an awful job with their 3-2. These are two teams that may have playoff opportunities this year.
The NFL has been up and down but can't disappointed in any nature. The league is supposed to be unpredictable. Thats what keeps it entertaining and everything it has been.

The NFL Is Crazy!
By: Will Waters III
With the 2010's best being beating by the worst of the 2010 season here in this new season of 2011, this is really turning some heads.
Starting with the Detriot Lions and their unbelievable 3-0 start to this 2011 season. A team who hasn't had an over 6 game winning record season but once in 11 years (7-9), is almost half way to their best record since 2007.
With second year quarterback Matthew Stafford, first rounder from the University of Georgia, under center, the amazing third year wide receiver Calvin Johnson, also a first rounder out of Georgia Tech, and a revamped defense Detroit Lions fans hopes are looking up.
Next we have the Buffalo Bills. In the last 10 years the Bills have been a defense based team. The have many weapons on defense but their offense always lacks. Even when pro bowl receiver Terrell Owens was there his numbers significantly dropped from 69 recs for 1,069 yds on the season with the Dallas Cowboys to 55 recs for 829 yds on the season when he joined the Bills. The Bills offense has lacked but with the pick up of the seventh year quarterback out of Harvard University, the offense is moving. Fitzpatrick coming into this season with 3000 yds passing and 23 tds, he is well on his way to surpass those numbers seeing that he already, in three games, has 841 passing yds and 9 tds thus far.
Lastly, The Oakland Raiders, once nicknamed "The World's Team", have not had a winning season in eight seasons. They were one game away in 2010 with a 8-8 record on the season. Starting 2-1 this season, they seem to be on a good trip. With their big win over the NY Jets last sunday, September 25, they are definitely making moves to make their mark in the NFL this season.
The NFL has had many unexpected happenings. These happenings are molding a NFL season that almost didn't happen into a very exciting one. I know I will stay tuned. Hope you do the same.

Flow
I ain't feeling this
This between me and U
See while you pursue whatever it is for U
See it from my point of view
We R totally different people
Totally different people who want different things
Which brings me 2 the point of why continue
Why continue wit this mess that's less than the best we can give
Rather than forgive and forget
We forgive then regret
Then relive the disrespect
And neglect
And the hate
A mistake if we were 2 go on like this
And piss poor make up can never make up for the things we go through
Who do U think I am
Not the one
So U continue 2 do U
Cause I'ma do me
And get back 2 my sanity

September 11, 2001
Yesterday marked the 10th year anniversary of the tragedy of the bombing of the Twin Towers that accorded September 11, 2001. This tragedy, potentially the most devastating tragedy of my generation, was a extremely memorable one for me. Differently from many, I was out of the country in Hanau, Germany. The day of the tragedy I woke up for school and went through my day routine. Usually my mother leaves after an hour of me waiting up, but this morning certain morning was different. I saw my mother sitting on the couch watching the news. I immediately join her to ask her what was keeping her from leaving. He "hushed me up" half way through my sentence and told me to listen.
This tragedy was initially INSANE to me. Simply UNBELIEVABLE!!! I just could not believe that someone would have so much hate against America to intentionally kill so many people. I just could not understand why someone would purposely do that.
As I found out more about why the terrorists did what they did, I could understand a little more but I was still confused of why they would do that to innocent people. If they had a problem with a certain group of people then they should handle it with that group. I guess thats just the way of the world. *Kanye Shrug*

Notice even the lightest bit of flirtatious smiles

Thoughts of running my fingers tips all over U
Caressing U
Losing my myself in U
