"PREDICTABLY UNPREDICTABLE"

By: Will Waters III

This 2011 NFL season has been FULL of surprises and this week has been NO different.

Philadelphia Eagles, who were picked to be the "Dream Team" of this season lost their game verses the blazing Buffalo Bills, 31-24. This takes the slumping Eagles to a 1-4 record and the absolutely blazing Bills to a 5-0 record. Michael Vick who was virtually unstoppable for his injuries against the Falcons and Giants, had the Bills defense all over him, throwing four ints. The Eagles season is going down hill at this point.

Next we have the Vikings. The Vikings haven't been having a great season themselves either. Going into a game against the Arizona Cardinals whom having not won a game since their opener against the Carolina, the Vikings
blowout the Cards, 34-10. It being the Vikings first win of the season, this game doesn't speak volumes since the Cards aren't that strong of a team this year themselves. Two previous playoffs predicted teams now at the bottom of the barrel.

This next one hurts me to say. Being from Atlanta, Ga its hard to talk about my team like this but The Atlanta Falcons, a team that did do well last year are 2-3 this season falling to the Green Bay Packers. The Falcons lost to the Packers last year 34-14 and did the almost the same being crashed 19-0 in the second half losing 25-14. A Falcons teams with so much promise needs to pick it up or their season will go down the drain.

Finally the San Fransisco 49ers blew out the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 48-3, to improve their season record to 4-1. The 49ers, whom ended last season 6-10 and with the firing of head coach Mike Singletary and other personnel, have come this season ready to play. And although they lost, the Buccaneers aren't doing an awful job with their 3-2. These are two teams that may have playoff opportunities this year.

The NFL has been up and down but can't disappointed in any nature. The league is supposed to be unpredictable. Thats what keeps it entertaining and everything it has been.
